仔细观察你会发现，英语在遣词造句上是遵循严密的逻辑形式的：用词上要求人称、数、格的一致；句子有严谨的主谓结构，多用关联词语，重视形式的对应和显性衔接。而在语篇中多突出主题句，直线式地展开段落。

那么可以运用什么方法，使句与句之间，段落与段落直接衔接得当呢。这就不得不提以下几个方面了。 No.1
状语从句
状语从句because, since, as, if, when, so 都能展示句子的逻辑关系。下面这句话，事实上if代表一个原因，而前面是结果。这样一个连接词连接了两个句子，使句子更有逻辑性。
Eg: For example, they are more likely to keep everything organized if they have the habit of cleaning their bedrooms.

No.2
一些名词性从句

如 this means that, the consequence is that, it follows that, this explains why, due to, the fact that等也有连接关系。
Eg:  Living away from parents means that young people have to learn how to live an independent life.
No.3   一些含有this, those的词组

如by doing this, in this way, in this case, in this circumstance, for this reason等。
Eg: With these skills, they can handle many matters easily.
No.4  
代词they, this, their等。Eg: They hardly have a meal with their parents and cannot keep up to date with the news about their family.

No.5 
含有another的表达
可以经常用another problem, another method, another benefit, another advantage这样的表达去引出一个新观点。
Eg: Another benefit is that college students can enjoy more freedom in social life and make new friends.
